Masterpieces of the Vatican Museums and St. Peter’s Basilica.
Private tour

The Papal States have been collecting the treasures in the Vatican Museums for centuries.

Years ago they were available only to the privileged people — but today the museum halls will reveal the golden-haired lutenist angels by Melozzo da Froli, the dramatic Deposition in the Tomb by Caravaggio which influenced the history of the entire world painting, the white marble antique Laocoon and the sons which inspired emotions and passion in sculptors.

We will get to the Vatican, skipping the line, in a small group of maximum ten people, so that you could discuss the heroes of the Raphael’s School of Athens or Apollo Belvedere with your guide. You will be wearing headphones to explore the paintings and listen to the descriptions without fearing to get lost.

The maps gallery, the tapestry gallery, the Raphael stanze, the Sistine chapel —  you will see all major highlights of the Vatican Museums. In a small group and without entry lines. You will also skip the line to St. Peter’s Basilica built in the place of the apostle’s crucifixion, you will hear the story of its construction which involved Bramante, Michelangelo, Raphael and others, you will see its rich interior run through by sun rays. And, of course, you will see Michelangelo’s Pieta – Mary mourning over Christ.

At the end of the tour the guide will give you the hints about the best restaurants frequented by the locals, shopping centers and the best viewpoints of the Eternal City.

Bonus: Hints form the guide: Where to go and what to try to get a real taste of Rome.

Our guide was one of those people you can listen to on and on. Seemingly known facts presented in a fascinating way, intertwining with stories from the Vatican life you will never find in textbooks – this is something that always makes a trip special. Great tour, recommended!

  2. Pickens, NYC says:

We booked the Vatican Museums tour and Federica was an outstanding tour guide. We learned so much about the Vatican and the sculptures, paintings and Sistine Chapel. The tour was nearly 4 hours, we could have spent days there and hope to go back. Worth every euro.

  3. Theresa, UK says:

Unless you are very good at history and know everything about the Vatican City, take a guided tour. It’s really worth the price. You’ll learn so much about the paintings, the painters, the structure of the Vatican itself, and its history. Definitely worth it. You’ll hear some fun and curious stories about this place. And that’s for all ages. I am 24 y.o. and I loved it!

  4. Stephen, United Kingdom says:

It was everything and more. I am not religious, but I think I can say it is a holy experience. No matter your beliefs, you are in the Vatican and the greatness and enormity of this place cannot leave you untouched by it’s splendour and history. Thanks a lot

It was an outstanding tour. Highly recommended. Definitely worth it. The Raffael rooms were amazing and so was St Peter’s. The Sistine Chapel is also great!

  6. Margaret, Dublin says:

Wonderful tour! My son is interested in art and he enjoyed every minute! Thanks to our guide Maria for a fascinating story and interesting details.

  7. Mike, Quebec says:

Top level tour. Meeting on time, everyone was provided with headphones (that was very convenient even in a small group as there are a lot of people in the museum). The great part is that we skipped the line (we visited Italy a couple of years ago and it took us almost an hour to get to St. Peter’s Basilica). Excellent guide Fabio, very professional.

  8. Mari Abramian says:

Many thanks to Selena for the tour! I did not expect it to be so interesting! She told us about the masterpieces of art and the history of the Vatican. Great sense of humor, it was an exciting experience.

  9. Irene Stevenson, San Jose, CA says:

This tour with David (our guide) was excellent. You do the Vatican Museums, St Peter and Sistine Chapel in 3 hours. We were thrilled with the knowledge and passion of our Tour guide. I definitely recommend this tour to everyone! With this ticket you go around the Vatican with a guide plus you skip the lines and don’t have to wait for ages to enter the Vatican.
