Nemi will welcome you with a cup of invigorating espresso and a view of a volcanic lake, where the floating castles of the Emperor Caligula used to dance on the waves. You will walk down the winding ocher and terracotta streets, drop into the local stores where they sell wild strawberry jam, wild strawberry soap and wild strawberry liqueur. Nemi is called the wild strawberry capital of Italy, and each and every counter strives to prove it.

Then we will settle to Grottaferrata where you will visit a remarkable St. Nile Abbey with the service in the Byzantine manner. The local restoration lab restored the Atlantic Code by Leonardo da Vinci. 

Our tour will end in Castel Gandolfo — a charming city chosen by the Pope for a summer residence. However, the pope wasn’t the only one — since ancient times this location was favored by the noble families from the Emperor Domitian to the Barberinis. To have a better idea why Castel Gandolfo is so popular, we will have a stop for a lunch with snacks and local wine. You will have a look at the blue lake framed by green hills and will crack the secret of Castel Gandolfo’s magnetism.
